Authenticity is embracing one's unique qualities, values, and experiences, while embracing vulnerability and letting go of societal masks or expectations. Authenticity is a path of self-discovery and a conscious choice to live from a place of truth, vulnerability, and integrity, allowing the light of your authentic self to shine brightly and guide both your personal journey and your interactions with the world.
Healing
Healing is an active process that requires both intention and surrender. It's an ongoing journey of self-care, self love, self-compassion, and self-evolution. As wounds are tended to and insights are gained, a sense of inner peace, balance, and authenticity emerges. Healing is a path of self-realization, leading to an expanded consciousness and a profound sense of purpose and joy for our lives.
Purpose
Purpose is a journey of uncovering your core values, innate strengths, and genuine desires. Purpose arises from acknowledging and integrating your past experiences, wounds, and triumphs, ultimately shaping a path of growth and healing. Purpose is a powerful force that helps individuals transcend challenges, offering a sense of direction and fulfillment that can positively impact mental, spiritual and emotional well-being.

Greetings and welcome! I'm a proud Afro-Latina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience, specializing in guiding clients to heal from anxiety, anger, depression, addiction struggles, social anxiety, self-esteem issues, familial trauma, and relationship conflicts and heartbreak.
Certified in anger management and trained in somatic trauma therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, my mission is to empower clients to heal inherited pain, make new meanings and honor the narratives grounded in healing for themselves. This commitment to collective healing led me to establish Unlock Your Joy Therapy, a journey and goal- I consider a spiritual calling.

Recognizing therapy as a collective journey, I aim to guide my clients not only through personal challenges like depression, anxiety, codependency, relationship, and self-esteem struggles but also through the healing of intergenerational traumas. This collective healing is a pathway for reconnecting with innate gifts of intuition and reclaiming unconditional love. I view these wounds not as burdens but as sacred openings to powerful healing transformation.

My life's mission is to empower individuals and communities to heal deeply, transcend inherited pain, and forge a legacy of resilience and transformation. Using a compassionate approach, I blend psychology education, evidence-based practices, and intuitive guidance to help clients reconnect with authentic lives grounded in healing, purpose, and radical self-acceptance.
